Teacher Information

Afang He

Ms. Afang He has been engaged in cultural publicity and education for several years. She once worked in the outreach department of the China “Overseas Chinese Business Daily” and participated in the compilation of local industry corporate culture books. After coming to the United States, she worked as a Chinese teacher in a Chinese school for nearly 10 years until now. In 2017, after studying and passing the exam, she obtained the “Chinese Language Teacher Certificate” in the United States.
Out of her love for Chinese culture, Ms. Afang He has been committed to the teaching and dissemination of Chinese culture overseas. She is serious and responsible, patient and meticulous, good at teaching and diligent in management. She loves children and is willing to work with parents and children to contribute to the revitalization of Chinese culture overseas.

Fun in Chinese Language & Culture

Discover the wonders of Chinese language and culture at Chinese Immersion Jr. – where fun meets learning! Our immersive camp is a colorful exploration of age-appropriate Chinese art and traditions. From painting and calligraphy to lantern crafting and more, campers dive into hands-on activities that celebrate the richness of Chinese heritage. In addition to creative pursuits, participants engage in communicative language sessions covering topics like Chinese holidays, travel, sports, and more. Tailored to each camper’s developmental and language proficiency level, our camp promises an enriching and enjoyable experience! Join us for a summer of language, laughter, and cultural discovery!

Teacher Information

Roger Chen

Mr. Roger Chen has worked as a teacher for over 38 years. He has a firm belief that education needs to take root at an early age. After graduating from the National Changhua Normal University in Taiwan, Roger sought to understand grass-roots education. Roger Chen was once selected as one of the “Top 10 Excellent Teachers” in Taiwan. Roger has taught at every level of education and received numerous awards, one of which was the 2017 Rotary International 3480 Regional 2016-17 Thank You Letter – (International Rotary Youth Exchange Students’ Tutoring Chinese Language Teaching Work, Promote Cultural Exchange, Specially Awarded Thank You Letter B Paper. )” Because of his passion for teaching, Roger Chen has been teaching for many years even on Saturdays and Sundays at two different Chinese schools in the Washington area. In 2022, he was selected as an excellent administrator of the Washington Metropolitan Association of Chinese School. And In 2023, he was selected for the Excellent Teacher Award of the Washington Metropolitan Association of Chinese Schools.
