Ms. Josephine De La Oliva has had a great passion for teaching since a very young age as she grew up working in the daycare her mother opened when she was born. She has connected with so many families over the years and understood early on what it meant to be a teacher and the amazing opportunity it is to connect with children and to support their curiosity about the world. Josie is fortunate enough to be fluently bilingual in English and Spanish and is currently learning sign language to better communicate with the deaf community and understand the nature of language. She has worked with children from all ages and enjoys the challenge of customizing an engaging lesson plan to the needs and interests of her students. Josie is a Junior in Elon University, who is majoring in Mathematics with Teaching Licensure and has a minor in Psychology. She is excited to begin her career as an educator, her dream job!
