Why Volunteer?
Volunteers play a vital role in making our camps a success. As a volunteer, you will:
- Earn SSL hours
- Gain hands-on experience working with children
- Receive recommendations for college and career opportunities
- Explore your interests in a vibrant, team-oriented setting
IMPORTANT: Limited Spots – Training Does Not Guarantee Placement
Please note:
- Volunteer positions are limited this year to ensure a meaningful experience for each participant.
- Completing training is required, but it does not guarantee selection.
- Priority will be given to:
- Returning volunteers who have previously supported afterschool or day camp programs with strong performance
- Older volunteers with leadership potential and maturity
- Applicants under age 14 will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but are less likely to be placed due to supervision and scheduling limitations.
- Applicants without prior experience may be considered after more experienced volunteers are placed.
- Training early improves your chances, but final selection is based on space, performance history, and overall program needs.
REMAINING TRAINING SCHEDULE
You must complete one online and one in-person training to be eligible for summer camp volunteering.
(Only one online training is required for after-school volunteering.)

REMINDERS
- You must complete one online and one in-person training to be considered for summer volunteering.
- Training is mandatory for selection—even returning volunteers must attend.
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early training is encouraged to maximize your chances.
