Jazz & Hip Hop: Beats & Beyond is the ultimate destination for students who love to groove and are eager to elevate their dance, movement, and rhythm skills. Jamorra DuBose Morris

Jamorra DuBose Morris is an experienced Off-Broadway director and playwright with over five years of experience creating original shows in New York City. She began her artistic journey as a fashion designer at the High School of Fashion Industries in NYC. Her passion for advertising, storytelling, and mixed media art led her to performance art. In 2016, she showcased her first play, and since then, she has self-produced several plays, including “Visions; High End Reality,” “Visions: The Mental War,” and “Visions: Ego Fear and Evil” at notable Off-Broadway theaters. Her workshop production “The Killer Bois” premiered at the Wow Cafe Theatre in 2019 and will be shown at the Soho Playhouse, The Tank Theatre, and the New York Theater Festival this fall.

Jamorra also has over five years of experience teaching performance arts to youth and seniors in the DMV area and New York City. She collaborates with schools, aftercare programs, and arts facilities to provide comprehensive theatre education, helping students explore various aspects of theatre, from singing and painting to managerial skills.

Alison Lennie

Alison Lennie is a Bethesda native and a student at Colgate University, expecting to graduate in December 2024 with a major in religious studies and a minor in pure mathematics. After graduation, she hopes to continue onto graduate school to pursue a career in education. Outside of the classroom at Colgate, Alison volunteers in the community, teaching local kids math and ice skating. When she is not studying religious theory or math, Alison enjoys Ultimate Frisbee, playing with her dog, watching Jeopardy, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Step into the world of laughter and creativity with our Comedy Creator class designed specifically for 10 to 13-year-old campers! This dynamic course is a perfect blend of humor, imagination, and performance, tailored to inspire young comedians. Throughout the sessions, campers will embark on a fun-filled journey to explore the art of comedic storytelling, joke crafting, and improvisation.campers through interactive exercises and games, teaching them the essential elements of comedic timing, delivery, and stage presence. Originally from Washington DC, John starred on Netflix’s “Are You The One?” and “The Challenge” on MTV. John performs in clubs and colleges internationally and has opened for Anthony Jeselnik, Nick Swardson, Margaret Cho, Doug Stanhope, Damon Wayans, Ron White, and many more. John is a textbook published author and one of the co founders of the award winning satire team, “Tampa News Force.” John has been doing stand up for 17 years now and has a large social media following with 335,000 followers on Tik Tok and over 1,000 videos published on YouTube.

In this hands-on course, budding young directors, writers, and cinematographers will learn the essentials of creating their own cinematic masterpieces. Campers will explore the art of storytelling through the lens, covering fundamental aspects of filmmaking such as scriptwriting, camera techniques, and editing. Our experienced instructors will guide participants through the entire filmmaking process, from developing creative concepts to capturing compelling scenes and editing their final projects. Chess Champs: beginner Strategy is designed for beginner campers that would like to learn and appreciate the game of chess, practice, and improve upon their chess skills. Beginners will gain a full understanding of the rules of chess and the basic underlying concepts of the game, while also having fun playing and competing against each other!

Our Junior Chef Adventures course is a wonderful way to introduce your children into the culinary world. Students will learn not only how to prepare delicious dishes and explore different meals, but will also learn proper kitchen etiquette and food service skills.
